Role and Purpose of Position:

The Outreach Support Worker works as part of the Ascend team to deliver services for women who are or have experienced domestic abuse. They are responsible as part of the team to deliver high quality services that are in line with best practice in the sector. They will work as part of the Ascend team to raise awareness of domestic abuse and to develop strategies to engage with hard-to-reach communities and women who are faced with additional complex needs and vulnerabilities.

Overall Objective:

Ascend is a Domestic Abuse Service which provides supports for women survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in North Tipperary. The mission of Ascend is to ensure that every woman can live a life without coercive control and reclaim the power to fulfil her potential.

  • Full Time Childcare Assistant
  • Part time Childcare Assistant

The successful candidates will have:

 

  • Minimum FETAC level 5 in childcare
  • A minimum of 1 year’s paid experience working in a professional childcare setting.

Part-Time Kitchen Assistant/ Cook

NTDC invites applications for a Part-Time Cook for the Meals On Wheels Service in Borrisoleigh (Fixed term temporary contract until 31st December 2026

 

The successful candidate must meet the criteria of the job specification including:

  •  HACCP level 3 minimum
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience as cook in a large-scale kitchen
  • A good working knowledge of HACCP
  • An understanding of principles of teamwork and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
  • Flexible, creative with the ability to adapt
  • Have working knowledge of ingredients
  • Have some knowledge of dietary needs/special diets/allergens
  • Able to lone work/lead team in absence of chef
  • Driving licence desirable
  • Basic computer skill desirable
  • Flexibility in relation to hours of work to meet the needs of the work.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Part-Time position – working 14 hours per week. Flexibility will be required. The role is a temporary fixed term contract until 31st December 2026

 

The salary for the role of Trainee Part-Time Cook is €23,473–€29,843. The successful applicant will be offered a salary commensurate with pro-rated to number of hours worked and with qualifications and experience.
