On the 18th of November Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, and Minister of State, Joe O’Brien TD, announced a new €10 million fund to support thousands of local community & voluntary groups with their energy bills/running costs.

 

Small grants in the range of €500 to €2500 are provided to help groups with running costs and rising energy bills or insurance.

Applications from groups supporting rural pursuits and activities welcome
Groups can also use the funding to carry out small upgrade works and to purchase equipment to support their activities such as laptops and printers, lawnmowers, training equipment, etc.

 

Tipperary LCDC have received €338,885:
• 49% Current funding (Non-Pay) for use towards energy running/operating costs
• 50% Capital funding for use towards carrying out necessary repairs and improvements to facilities, energy efficiency type projects, purchase of equipment etc.
• 1% ring-fenced for Women’s sheds
Applications can be made to the Tipperary LCDC from Wednesday 4th of January 2023. Application can be made online via this link https://submit.link/1he.

Applicants need to provide proved location information in X and Y coordinates (ITM).
