North Tipperary Development Company – Annual Report 2024
North Tipperary Development Company (NTDC) is proud to present its Annual Report 2024, showcasing a year of meaningful impact, strong partnerships, and continued commitment to supporting individuals and communities across North Tipperary.
As a community-led, not-for-profit organisation, NTDC works to promote social inclusion, economic development, and community wellbeing. In 2024, this mission was brought to life through a wide range of programmes and initiatives that supported people of all ages and backgrounds.
A Year of Impact
During 2024, NTDC delivered over 42,000 individual supports and interventions, reaching 4,399 individuals and assisting 220 community groups across the region.
Key achievements included:
- Supporting over 395 people into employment or self-employment
- Delivering 136 education and training courses
- Assisting individuals through employment programmes, youth services, and enterprise supports
- Expanding services for vulnerable and marginalised groups
These results reflect NTDC’s ongoing commitment to creating real opportunities and improving quality of life across local communities.
Supporting People and Communities
NTDC delivered a broad range of programmes in 2024, including:
- Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP)
- LEADER Rural Development Programme
- Employment supports such as Community Employment (CE), Tús, and Local Area Employment Services (LAES)
- Youth services and family supports
- Traveller and New Arrivals programmes
- Community childcare services
- Meals on Wheels and supports for older people
These programmes are designed to empower individuals, strengthen communities, and provide pathways to education, employment, and social participation.
Promoting Inclusion and Equality
A key focus throughout 2024 was supporting those most at risk of disadvantage. NTDC expanded initiatives such as the Ascend Domestic Abuse Service, introduced new supports for Traveller health, and continued to grow the New Arrivals Programme, helping people integrate into their communities and access opportunities.
Through collaboration with local and national partners, NTDC delivered more connected and responsive services, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Strengthening Local Development
NTDC also played a vital role in supporting local enterprise and rural development through the LEADER Programme, helping communities bring forward projects that enhance local infrastructure, sustainability, and economic growth.
The organisation continues to adopt a bottom-up, community-led approach, ensuring that local voices shape local solutions.
